Description
This photographic series was made during my photography class in 2015. I’d always been drawn to the wonderfully strange and creative energy of F Block — that mix of chaos, exhaustion, and magic that builds in the lead-up to an exhibition. I wanted to capture what it felt like to be in that space, rather than just what it looked like.
So I set up a camera for three days before the Level 6 exhibition and took a photo every five minutes. Afterwards, I selected the moments that felt the most different — when the light shifted, when someone moved through, when the energy changed — and layered them together. The final three images hold traces of everyone who passed through, all the fragments of time sitting on top of each other.
